The fifth day of Regional Wine Week featured more wines, wineries and wine news around North America -- and these are just the highlights:
· Howard Hewitt of Grape Sense on Indiana's Turtle Run Winery.· Mike Wangbickler of Caveman Wines on Midwestern wine -- not bad for a Californian.
· DrinkLocalWine' honcho Dave McIntyre on Hawaiian wine. Hey, we keep insisting that wine is made in all 50 states.
And we're still happy to take blog posts and articles from anyone who writes about local wine on their blogs -- and local is anywhere that that isn't in California, Oregon, or Washington state. Send us the link. Mention DrinkLocalWine.com and Regional Wine Week and link to the site, and you're done. It's as easy as that.
Midwesterner by birth, Californian by choice. I'm still marveling over that Michigan Riesling. I'll have to pick up some more when next I am visiting family.
